I earned a Ph.D. in History.  I am not a career Historian. In my office job I actively work with historians and History Departments throughout the state. I work within the system to create pathways and to spaces for critical change where I have influence, where I'm needed, and where I'm valued by like-minded allies.

My responsibilities include building bridges in the field even though many of those same bridges didn't provide me with the safe crossing and professional growth as a graduate student and early career professional. The insecurity and vulnerability that I felt on those perilous bridges for nearly a decade still cut me to the core now.
